Our Story

Meet Dr. Helen – A Leader, Changemaker, and Advocate for Women in Leadership

For years, I found myself in leadership rooms where I was the only woman of color at the table. I confidently entered these spaces, backed by a wealth of experience, advanced degrees, and a track record of exceeding expectations. Yet, time and time again, I found myself pushed out—not because of performance, but because the system wasn’t built for women like me to stay.

I was told I was moving too fast and labeled too direct. My leadership style was challenged, scrutinized, and ultimately dismissed. Each time, I questioned myself: Was it me? Was I asking for too much? Did I not belong?

The truth? I wasn’t the problem. The system was.

I know my story isn’t unique. Across industries, women—especially women of color—face barriers that have nothing to do with ability and everything to do with entrenched bias and resistance to change.

That’s why I created Project Rise with Dr. Helen Inc.

I created Project Rise because I know what navigating leadership is like as a woman of color. Too many talented women take career breaks, face stagnation, or struggle to find the right opportunities. I designed this program to remove the guesswork—to give women the skills, confidence, and support to lead successfully. Our approach isn’t just about training—it’s about transformation, so women don’t just return to work; they rise in leadership.

What We Do

Project Rise is more than a training program—it’s a movement. Our mission is to equip women with the tools, strategies, and confidence they need to enter leadership and stay, thrive, and transform the organizations they serve.

Through project management training, mentorship, and leadership development, we help women:
Gain industry-recognized skills that translate into leadership success.
Navigate workplace challenges with confidence and resilience.
Build a network of support to advance and sustain their careers.

Why Project Management?

Leadership isn’t just about titles—it’s about execution. Women who lead projects already demonstrate leadership.

By mastering project management, women gain the decision-making, strategic thinking, and execution skills that make them indispensable in leadership roles. At Project Rise, we bridge the gap between technical expertise and leadership readiness, ensuring women are prepared for today’s opportunities and long-term success.

Join the Movement

If you’re a woman looking to rise in leadership, an organization looking to diversify its leadership pipeline, or a professional ready to mentor and uplift the next generation of women leaders, we want to hear from you.

Let’s change the narrative. Let’s build leadership spaces where women enter, stay, and thrive.
